A respected Am-Law 200 law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Secretary to join its fast-paced litigation team. This Litigation Secretary role offers the opportunity to support accomplished attorneys in a collaborative, team-oriented environment where professionalism, accountability, and strong organizational skills are highly valued. The ideal Litigation Secretary is a proactive problem-solver who thrives under deadlines, takes ownership of their work, and brings substantial California and Federal court filing experience.

  • Draft, proofread, and format a variety of legal correspondence and litigation documents, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Manage attorney calendars, coordinate meetings and client appointments, and track critical court deadlines, hearings, and filing dates.
  • Prepare conflict checks, open and maintain electronic client files, and support overall case administration in a paperless environment.
  • Handle both California state and Federal court filings, including e-filing through CM/ECF, PACER, and related court systems.
  • Provide exceptional service to attorneys, clients, and staff while maintaining professionalism, responsiveness, and a collaborative team-first approach.
  • Organize and prioritize multiple assignments with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong time management and the ability to meet competing deadlines.
  • 4+ years of litigation secretarial experience required, along with knowledge of California litigation procedures, court deadlines, Microsoft Office, and document management systems; candidates must be able to work full-time onsite and hit the ground running in a temp-to-hire capacity.
